Kicker: Chocolate highway

MARY REICHARD, HOST: Fellow chocolate lovers: this story may be disturbing.

A tractor-trailer overturned on a Polish highway Wednesday. The good news is that the driver suffered only a minor injury.

But 12 tons of liquid chocolate spilled onto the roadway and solidified into a huge sticky mess— covering six lanes and blocking traffic in both directions.

Highway official Bogdan Kowalski told ABC, “Even oil stains are easier and quicker to remove than smeared chocolate.”

Crews had to spray vast amounts of hot water to clear away the creamy confection— which of course— was a total loss.
