Kicker: Stealing rain clouds

NICK EICHER, HOST: An Iranian general has a creative explanation for the recent spate of dry weather.

Here it is: Israel is stealing Iranian rain clouds!

In a press conference earlier this month, Brig. Gen. Reza Jalali said Israel is conspiring with another country in the region to ensure clouds entering Iran are unable to release rain.

The decorated general heads the nation’s civil defense organization. He said he has proof of the rain-stealing conspiracy, but didn’t offer any.

He later accused Israel of theft of snow as well.

Now, if the general is right about all this, the Israelis seem to be doing a masterful job covering their tracks. Israel just entered its fifth straight year of drought.
