EICHER: You know that feeling when you see flashing red and blue lights in your rear view mirror?
That’s how one woman felt when she pulled over for a Miami Beach police officer. She got out of the car looking flummoxed, along with her boyfriend.
Then the officer asked the boyfriend a question.
AUDIO: Is there anything you want to say?
EICHER: He did, indeed. He got down on one knee, held out a ring toward the driver and said, “I just want you to marry me.”
For her part, she looked a little stunned, looked over to the officers, then got a gander at the ring. And only then did she say, ‘yes.”
AUDIO: Congratulations!
EICHER: The officers were in on the love caper the whole time.
